Lunar Eclipse Early Friday Morning
A lunar eclipse is expected early Friday morning, with 97.4% coverage of the moon. This will be the longest-lasting partial lunar eclipse in 548 years. It will also be the longest until the year 2100.
The moon will start to get covered over at 2:18am, peaking at 97.4% coverage at around 4:02am, with the eclipse ending at 5:47am.
We hope to have video footage and photos from the eclipse available in the coming days.
